![]() I save the direct Registry-editing method to help me out if I have made a mess of things. Letting Windows move the files only went wrong once for me but I still take this cautious approach. I always create the desired folder beforehand and move my files there myself before doing the relocation. I generally use the Properties, Location tab method to relocate user folders. The Screenshots folder & its Registry entry are only created when you first use the Screenshots facility. It's also in the Registry, User shell folders but with an awkward label ![]() I cannot find a tutorial for relocating the Screenshots folder but it follows the same pattern. In its list of Related tutorials at the end, you'll find corresponding guides for relocating many other user folders.
